Augustus keeps place in Springbok squad

NORTHAMPTON No.8 Juarno Augustus, who is joining Ulster this summer, has been named in a 54-man South Africa squad. Head coach Rassie Erasmus has retained 31 of his 2023 Rugby World Cup-winning squad, with 27-year-old back row Augustus one of nine uncapped players included. Scarlets hooker Marnus van der Merwe is also called up.
The Springboks face the Barbarians on June 28, followed by Tests against Italy and Georgia.
